Since 1999, Mountain View Mennonite Church has hosted a twice-yearly Ten Thousand Villages sale in support of fair trade practices. Proceeds from the sale go to the third-world artisans in 30 countries who create the items featured at each sale. Ten Thousand Villages is a non-profit program of Mennonite Central Committee.
The fall sale is held the second weekend in November. This year's sale will be November 9, 10, and 11, 2006.
Hours
- Thursday, November 9: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday, November 10: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, November 11: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Village Cafe (take-outs available!) features the 4th annual Chili Fest, frash-baked cornbread, homemade pie and applesauce, and an endless supply of fair trade coffee. Do your shopping, then sit down at one of our cozy tables and have a delicious meal!
